Stand insurance

Welding at the stand

Gas cylinders

  • Only a working supply may be kept on the exhibition floor; in other words, one cylinder that is secured against tipping over.
  • Any remaining stock must be stored in a ventilated, locked room separate from the building, at least 15 metres from the premises.
  • At the end of each exhibition day, the valves on the cylinders must be turned off.

Protection

  • Workstations must be properly shielded from visitors by means of a hard plastic or glass partition. Visitors must not be able to come into contact with hot parts or open flames.
  • The floor must also be protected, for example with a rubber mat.
  • It is compulsory to have a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket at the stand.
  • Demonstrations must be carried out by suitably trained personnel.
  • Electric welding fume extraction is compulsory.
